This mixed-use tower is to be in the new community of Lusail, a city development that covers some 35 square kilometers north of Doha and is planned for a projected 200,000 persons. Along with a variety of residential options the new city will provide commercial, hospitality, mixed use, hotel and entertainment districts that will be integrated with parks, marinas and other open spaces.

The tower's distinctive torqued appearance is achieved through a series of gently curved vertical fins that are shading devices or "brise soleil" at the upper half of the building. These fins serve the dual purpose of shading the most exposed portions of the tower while giving the building a simple means of shaping its exterior volume.
